DC Power Supplies. A DC power supply is used in place of a 12 volt battery when you need to operate car audio equipment and the only source of power is the mains voltage (AC wall outlet). This type of power supply is similar to a battery charger but has much better 'manners'. A battery charger is generally unregulated.

Mar 15,  · Good Evening I am looking for some help with my definitive technology subwoofer. Would anyone happen to have schmatics for the power supply board in this or help me further diagnose. I am getting some voltage at the two large capacitors around v dc, however not getting voltages much past them.

Today, I’ll be checking out the Duet Power Block, so named for its two power outlets. It’s designed to filter power for amplifiers and subwoofers, so I’ll be doing just that. I received two units so one will support my Axiom EP subwoofer and the other will plug in behind two Emotiva multi-channel amplifiers, an XPA-5, and an XPA

Apr 05,  · Hello all. I have a power supply that I threw together using a linear replacement switching regulator made by CUI, part number is V I followed the reference circuit in the datasheet and added the caps that it recommends. I feed it 12VDC and I get a really nice and consistent 5VDC on.

This would require a bit different approach since you will need to get 14VV (V drop from diode) from your power supply and add diode in series. Diode should be high power, rated at least few amps more than your max charge current, high power bridge rectifier could also work since higher current ones can be screwed to heatsink.

this sounds like some nwa. This cd definitely hits some lows. I like track 4. I play this in my car when I get bored. I have 2 polk 12s and a dual w amp, and 2 6x9s. I can actually feel this cd. the only problem is that the music is kind of lame. kinda sounds like techno. whatever.4/5(2).

Mar 20,  · I have check the the fuse in the subwoofer were in order. When I connect a speaker or headphone to the music center, I can hear sound comming through it. Therefore I presumed the player were in order. The fault lies in the subwoofer. I have read some thread here that the music centre have a mm plug that supply 12VDC to turn on the subwoofer.
